Samantha Scicchigno (Staten Island, NY) has been teaching Rally classes since 2013. She has competed successfully at every level of AKC Rally, earning many High Triple and High Combined scores as well as a Rally Championship (RACH), and has shown at AKC Rally Nationals several times with her two mixed breed dogs.

This workshop will be from:
1:30 to 3:30 PM on September 18th.

1:30PM - 3:30PM Intro to AKC Rally Designed for handlers who have little to no experience with AKC Rally and are looking to give it a try. Perfect for crossover teams from other sports, or those new to dog training who are looking to dip their feet in a new activity. Prior beginner/pet-style obedience including a sit, down, and a rudimentary wait/stay and on-lead recall are recommended. We will cover the "ground rules" for AKC Rally and learn a portion of the AKC Rally Novice signs. All exercises will be on-leash, but dogs MUST be comfortable working in a group setting. This course will not teach, nor does it require, a formal "heel." Suggestions for training at home will be incorporated.


Price: $50 Working Spot, $25 Auditing Spot.
